- 110 g of flour
- 60 g of butter
- 75 g of sugar
- 4 apples
- Ground Cinnamon
- Ground Ginger
- 1 clove
- 1 lemon
Wash the lemon and grate the skin, taking care not to get to the white part, and squeeze its juice. Then peel the apples, remove the center and cut them into quarters and each quarter into 3 pieces.
Melt 1/3 of the butter in a saucepan (previously cut into pieces), macerate 20 minutes the apples with 1/3 of sugar and 2 tablespoons of juice, add a teaspoon of each spice (for the clove 3 units) and cook them. Then, mix the remaining butter, sugar, flour and lemon zest, until you get a mixture of a lumpy appearance. Once the compote is warm, pour it into a baking dish.
Finally, we will slide the compote over it and we will bake it for 30 minutes, at 180 ºC in the middle part of the oven, until the surface is browned. Season with cinnamon and ginger before serving.
